Where can I find a travel package to stay in a temple and meditate?
Q. I want to travel on January, to Asia, I'm looking for a package, where you can go trekking, and get to go to a Temple and meditate, with food provided, more like a spiritual journey, not in the city, more like in the hills or mountains. Something relaxing, yet spiritual. Anyone?

A. if you travel by package, you won't get to a real temple and a real meditation time, the best way is too learn some language of the place you are going, after you have arrived then you can do local research for the best temple, if you are going to thiland, information might even be available in english. if you are looking for temples in a mountain you better go to china, but don't break the law there, the prison there is not very nice although you get good food.

How can I meditate for longer?
Q. I would like to sit for at least half an hour or an hour but I always get agitated and never manage to sit for more than 20 minutes. How can I make myself meditate for longer?

A. Hi! When you say you are getting agitated, this shows you aren't fully in a calm relaxed state. (Are you letting all your thoughts go, or are you focusing on your thoughts and becoming nerved that they won't disappear?) First and foremost: You can meditate for 10 minutes--in deep relaxation and achieve a better outcome than meditating for 20 "half a$$ed." Don't put a time limit on it, but DO set a time to start (ex. 9pm every day). Don't force yourself to stay in meditation. If after 10 minutes, you are bored, ready to give up, then slowly open your eyes, take a few deep breaths and then move on to something else. Eventually, your body will be accustomed to the relaxed state and you'll automatically stay in longer. **What is your… [cont.]

A. consciously listen to your own breathing, if it helps to start with intentionally breath louder than usual, inhale deep through your nose, and blow out of your mouth not fast just hard. and the really difficult bit, look at the blackness on the inside of your eye lid, sounds odd, and is extremely difficult especially if you have a vivid imagination like me but with practice it works, don't let any images enter your head, totally clear everything from your mind, when you are thinking about nothing, no mental images or thoughts, and the only thing you can hear is your breathing your pretty much there, do that for a while if you can maintain it you enter what i can only describe as a "at peace" state this is how i meditate and i have kind… [cont.]
