There is no secret to meditation other than discipline and awareness. You need to be mindful of your breath and then of no-mind as your breath slows/stops. It's wonderfully empty- during one meditation session I entered into the first Jhana- it felt like a wave of cleansing- of all negativity, of all doubts, fears, distractions and self. It was beautiful, too beautiful to describe to you fully. The meditation lasted for about 2 hours (it's hard to say exactly- you do lose track of time when in such a state- because time simply becomes meaningless), and the tranquility/central stillness from it lasted for days.
